Daddies Arms We spent a long frosty evening shooting the album cover in an underground, secret location. We used extensive "time lapse" photography and captured some amazing images. The theme of the new record is centered around taking the "light" into, and defeating, the darkness. The songs include a theme track called "Little Lights". It's a skull crushing, "drop D", metal anthem talking about how there are no treaties between darkness and light. The concept progresses through the song "problems me". It discusses the internet and how it contains the potential to be used for darkness or light. The song charts a chronology of how porn used to be a challenge to obtain, but how now "the depths of human depravity- lurk under my finger tip". The track ends with the admission that it's not the internet that causes anyone to be corrupted, but rather it's the corruption inside us that causes us to explore the dark side of the net. The most controversial track involves the declaration that YAHWEH is the name of God. It includes a synopsis of the translation of the tetragrammaton. There are six worship tunes included. The album ends with a ballad admonishing fathers to stay in thier families and how divorce and family upheaval destroys the children. |
